But why we add that one Rupee COIN?

On any auspicious occasion, we always prefer giving a Gift in the Envelope having Rs.101, 501 or 1001 so on….instead of Rs.100, 500 or 1000;

But why we add that one Rupee COIN?

Well, there are four AGE OLD CUSTOM for doing that:

(1) “ZERO” signifies an end, while “ONE” signifies a beginning.

That additional one Rupee Coin ensures that the receiver should not feel that “this is the last time the Donor is expressing his gratitude for him.”

(2) Mathematically, the numbers 100, 500 and 1000 are divisible; but the numbers 101, 501 and 1001 are indivisible.

Thus by additional one Rupee Coin we express our Good Wishes & Blessings to remain INDIVISIBLE.

(3) The additional one Rupee Coin is a SYMBOL of CONTINUITY ahead of the basic amount.

It strengthens the bond between the two, giver and the receiver. It simply means, “Our Good Relationship shall CONTINUE”.

(4) The additional Rupee MUST be a COIN instead of and one Rupee Note (Also not available now a days).

A COIN is made of metal, which comes from MOTHER EARTH 🌍 and considered to represent Goddess LAKSHMI. While the basic amount may be an INVESTMENT, the additional one Rupee COIN is the “SEED” for further GROWTH of that INVESTMENT.
